My working day begins the minute I arrive at the office. I open up my laptop and start by checking the various client inboxes for any emails that have come in overnight. I also review my to-do list to prioritise the tasks for the day ahead and make sure nothing gets missed.

One of my first responsibilities is formatting CVs sent in by a recruitment agency client. This involves making sure each CV is presented professionally and consistently, helping candidates make the best possible first impression on potential employers.

Later in the morning, I move on to proofreading reports submitted by another client. Attention to detail is essential, as I carefully check for spelling and grammar.

A large part of my day is dedicated to supporting clients through our call answering service. Throughout the day, I take calls on behalf of a variety of businesses, ensuring each caller receives a professional and friendly experience. The calls can consist of anything from getting heat pump services booked in, to paying an outstanding invoice or even dealing with enquiries for an innovative product that was once on Dragons’ Den!

I also assist with administrative tasks such as invoicing. For customers who had their heat pumps serviced the previous week, I prepare their invoices and send them out alongside their service certificates.

One of the many varied tasks on my list is supporting clients with their accounts administration. Part of my day involves inputting financial data into Sage for a local car garage, ensuring that invoices, payments and other account records are accurately recorded – I really enjoy this task!

My role gives me the opportunity to support clients with such a wide variety of tasks and projects and that’s one of the reasons why I love it!
